Kezania (KEnya+ZAnzibar+tanzaNIA) was born in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, during January 2008. Today Kezania lives in the one of a kind city of Mombasa, Kenyan Coast.
Its parents wanted it to be different, fresh and new! In a way to show that Kenya and Tanzania's arts & crafts are not only based on Maasai culture, but a lot more.
Let us talk with the "we" now...So, the aim of Kezania is simply to find constantly African pieces that come out of common paths. We travel throughout Kenya and Tanzania to unearth what you find on Kezania.com. We do not constraint ourselves to find this type or this type of items...we do it freely, and with a great pleasure! As long as we stumble upon something that catches our eyes, from Kenya or Tanzania, and where we see Africa in it...then, we just buy it!
Therefore, we really want Kezania to be in constant movement, and give an opportunity to artists and craftsmen to be recognized.
Every kind of art or handcraft is welcome: tribal art, home decor pieces, statues, figures, paintings, photos, drawings, interior design creations...contemporary, traditional...NO LIMIT!
Through this blog, we look forward to showing what moves us in all subjects around Kenya & Tanzania.
